We continued following the map and reached Seshadri Memorial Hall which houses the State central Library. The statues of these famous 5 personalities are installed in honor of those who had contributed in some way or other towards the development of city (Bangalore). Now that pumped up my excitement and from here began our “Statue Trail” in Cubbon park.

Chamarajendra Park, in reminiscence of the nineteenth-century ruler of the nation Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar, at some stage in whose rule the park got here into life. It functions as the Seshadri Memorial Library, which is a part of the park’s facilities. Originally built in 1864 during the British reign, Attara Kacheri is a beautiful red stone building at the entrance of the park. Within this park, several historical monuments and statues can be found. Cubbon Park is a large park that has been fully developed with over 300 acres of greenery.

The park also has its own Metro Station which is about 100 meters away. Visitors can either take a cab or a BMTC Bus / KSRTC Bus that is well connected to various parts of the city. Hobby classes such as painting, arts and crafts are also held at the park. Doll museum which boasts of a rich collection of dolls and toys from around the world is another place worth visiting. A beautiful rose garden in the front side of the building makes it all the more alluring. There is an entry fee of Rs. 20 for adults and Rs.10 for Children to visit the museum.
